DAY 1: Istanbul
Upon your arrival, you will be met by our representative before the transfer to your hotel. Spend the rest of the day at your own leisure.
DAY 2: Istanbul
Full day tour of Istanbul including Topkapi Palace, St. Sophia, the Blue Mosque and the Spice Market. Overnight Istanbul. (B)
DAY 3: Istanbul / Canakkale
Depart for Gallipoli and visit ANZAC Cove, Lone Pine Cemetery, Chunuk Bair, the Nek and the 57th Regiment as well as the original trenches and tunnels. Overnight Canakkale. (B,D)
DAY 4: Canakkale / Troy / Pergamon / Kusadasi
This morning visit Troy where the site of the legendary Trojan War took place. Then continue to Pergamon to visit the Acropolis. Overnight Kusadasi. (B,D)
DAY 5: Kusadasi / Ephesus / Sirince /Kusadasi
Visit the ancient city of Ephesus with its magnificent library. Then continue to the marvellous village of Sirince where you will be able to shop around the stores and markets in the village as well as taste the local wines. Overnight Kusadasi. (B, D)
DAY 6: Kusadasi / Hierapolis / Pamukkale / Marmaris
Drive to Pamukkale where you will then be able to enjoy the spectacular beauty of Lime Cascade and visit Ancient Hierapolis. Overnight Marmaris. (B,D)
DAY 7: Marmaris / Koycegiz / Fethiye
This morning travel to the lakeside town of Koycegiz. Here we take a boat cruise to Turtle Beach and smother ourselves in mud at the local mud bath. Overnight Fethiye. (B,D)
DAY 8: Fethiye / Kayakoy / Greek Village and Oludeniz
After breakfast explore the quaint Greek village of Kayakoy. In the afternoon continue to Oludeniz to have the opportunity to swim. Overnight Fethiye. (B,D)
DAY 9: Fethiye / Saklikent Gorge / Antalya
After breakfast we visit the stunningly beautiful Saklikent Gorge, Turkey’s longest and deepest canyon. After tracking along the canyon, continue to Antalya by crossing the Tauros Mountains upon our arrival to visit the Duden Waterfall. Overnight Antalya. (B,D)
DAY 10: Antalya (Aspendos) / Konya / Cappadocia
This morning visit to Aspendos, home of the best preserved Roman Theatre in the world. Afterwards drive through the Tauros Mountains to visit Mauseloum of Mevlana in Konya. Konya is home to the Whirling Dervishes. Then continue to Cappadocia via Seljuk – a fine example of an ancient Silk Road. Overnight Cappadocia. (B,D)
DAY 11: Cappadocia
After breakfast, there will be a full day excursion in Cappadocia. This includes visits to the Kaymakli Underground City, Open Air Museum in Goreme and the natural fortress in Uchisar. You can also be a part of an optional and fun Turkish Folklore evening with dinner that is available for tonight. Overnight Cappadocia. (B)
DAY 12: Cappadocia / Ankara / Safranbolu
Early morning optional hot air balloon flight. Depart for Ankara and visit the Mausoleum of Ataturk. This is the burial place of the national hero who founded the modern Republic of Turkey. Continue to Safranbolu, the world heritage UNESCO town which is considered as an open air museum. Overnight Safranbolu. (B,D)
DAY 13 : Safranbolu / Istanbul
After breakfast we visit the old town of Safranbolu, where you can test a fine sample of Turkish Delights. Continue to Istanbul with an afternoon visit of the Grand Bazaar. Overnight Istanbul. (B)
DAY 14: Istanbul
After breakfast transfer to the Istanbul Ataturk Airport. (B)
