Current activity and media coverage of the situation on the Turkish Syrian border has resulted in some of our clients contacting Trans Turk Travel to find out the safety aspects of their tours and whether tours scheduled for departure in the near future will be proceeding.
Many foreign governments have advised against travel to the southeast of Turkey only, and to avoid travel within 50km of the Syrian border. All other areas are still considered to be safe for tourists. Cappadocia is the most Easterly point travelled to on these guaranteed departures. This is around 600km from the problem area, and so Trans Turk Travel will be operating these tours as usual.
Most visitors to Turkey will not notice anything other than normal daily life and business as usual as they travel around Turkey, as the geography of Turkey is such that the daily life of most citizens is unaffected by the trouble on the border.
In the case of guests travelling with us on a tailor-made itinerary we are reviewing each itinerary on a case by case basis, and making suggestions regarding alternative itineraries for those guests who had booked a tour that included a visit to a town in the South East of Turkey.
The safety and well being of our guests and staff is always of paramount importance to us and if we have to cancel a trip or make changes to our itineraries to avoid problem areas we will do so and notify you of any changes.
Trans Turk Travel thanks you for your support and we look forward to showing your guests our Turkish hospitality.
